From Gaspe to Fredericton

Hello! We are now in Fredericton! I'll bring you up to date.

Sooo... driving up to Gaspe (the city) was an amazing drive. We loved it. Dave and I both hadn't realized that the Appalachian mountains reached up there. We were stunned. The landscape is just stunning. Mountains after mountains. The road would take us along the shore, within an arm's length. Then the road would take us up the mountain and the st lawrence would be more than 100 ft below us.

We stayed there for two nights, but there is no camping open around because they are having a late spring. So we decided to drive down and stay down on the Gaspe on the other side, but we were enjoying the drive so much that we prolonged it to Pointe-a-la-croix where we saw a camping sign. The man who ran the campsite said sorry he couldn't offer us anything because they hadn't opened the toilets yet, because they too were having a late spring. So, we said we understood and were preparing just to find a motel because nothing in the area, camping wise, was open. Then David and the man continued to talk and Dave told him what we are doing and what we have been up to. The guy then, obviously won over by Dave's charm told us we could stay the night for free, we would just have to go down the street to the gas station to use the washroom. We stayed there obviously. It was a great spot! There was a small brook rolling near us. It was great. We offered the owner some money and he refused. It was great.

Today we were planning to drive to Kedgwick, New Brunswick and stay there for the night. We drove there, and once again, was enjoying the drive and the scenery so much that we decided to continue with the drive. We ended up here in Fredericton. We are staying in a motel for the night then hoping to find some camping around here for another two nights then head to Moncton. From there we are off to PEI.

Things are great!

Here are some pictures form driving up to Gaspe. They do not do any justice. When we were around the biggest mountains, and the dozens of waterfalls I was too mesmerized to take pictures.

And now for some random pictures that deserve to be put up:
