Hello, as Dave wrote before I wrote a pretty big post and it deleted right as I pressed "post". I was way to frustrated to write another.
So we arrived in Montreal on Wednesday. Our campsite is called "Camping Alouette" and is 28 km outside of the city. We got to the campsite and just set up our area and made some dinner and settled for the night.
On Thursday we went into the city which was great. I have never been to Montreal, and what I have heard is true. It is quite a beautiful city!! We drove around for a bit, trying to get our bearings. Then we stopped at a very busy tourist centre. There we were informed on where to get the best Montreal bagels and sites to see. A funny sidenote- while trying to leave the tourist centre in our car, a car backed into us. No harm done! We were hunger and drove straight to the "Fairmont Bagels". We bought a 1/2 dozen and some cream cheese. They were so delicious that we ate two for lunch. After that we drove up to the Botanical Gardens which was just amazing. We took so many pictures! So many! It was amazing! We were there for a few hours then attempted to leave Montreal, but it was during rush hour and the highway back to our "home" was packed. So we toured around the city a bit. In the end we were glad that we didn't leave when we were originally planning as we got to see a lot more of the city. We were very tired when we arrived home and just made some dinner and went to sleep.
Yesterday we decided to stay at the campsite. We organized our car better, did some laundry, walked, and read a lot. (Sheila - I'm about 3/4 of the way through now!)
Today we are heading to Quebec City. We left Montreal area a couple hours ago and now have stopped in Drummondville to get some groceries and find an internet cafe. We are sitting in a Van Houtte Cafe right now.
Things are going great!! The sun is now shining! Our first day of no rain was yesterday. But the rain has not affected our experience at all. We're having a great time!!! Quebec is great, though we find ourselves saying "Sorry we don't speak French!" a lot. It is very neat to be experiencing Canada this way. We have already seen, heard, done new things. We're happy! We are also getting along great!
Anyways! We love you all! Miss you all!
Pictures soon!
Lindsay & Dave
